That Settles It: Cheick Kongo Is the Dirtiest Fighter in the UFC http://www.cagepotato.com/settles-it...st-fighter-ufc http://cdn.cagepotato.com/www/sites/...ongoBrowne.jpg (One of the few moments on Saturday when Travis Browne wasn't in danger of getting his nuts demolished. "Cup Check Kongo" is the greatest nickname ever. |
yeah I'm done caring about Kongo fights. |
I think Dana will give him a fight against somebody very strong and hope that Kongo loses so he can cut him. Or maybe he will cut him soon saying that he did not have good results lately and also using the "he is a dirty fighter" argument. (BTW Dana is not happy that Kongo revealed that 50% or more UFC fighters are on roids). I think Kongo´s days in UFC are counted. |
Do you guys think the ref should have taken ANOTHER point away from Kongo for holding onto the shorts? I don't blame the ref for not deducting a second point, because it's a pretty ambiguous situation, and he probably doesn't want to be inject himself into the fight to such a large degree. Still, the foul was clearly being repeated at will. Secondly, as a judge, do you tink seeing a fighter continuously break the rules should factor into your score. In other words, should any of the judges given Kongo that tird round, considering he was holding onto the shorts over and over. I can see it both ways, because Kongo was already penalized a point for the foul, so if you take into account on juding the round ON TOP of the point deduction, you're basically counting it twice. Still, how do you say Kongo won that round when he was blatantly cheating the whole time? What does everyone think? |
I was a little suprised in the fight when he got the point deduction, he then repeatedly grabbed the shorts after. The ref warned and warned and even pulled kongo's hand off after the point deduction. He should have had another point deduction. IMO once a point deduction is given the ref cannot back-track to warning again and again the only action is a second point deduction. Kongo won't be around much longer |
To my understanding, when you break a rule after a warning (either in the back room before the fight or in the cage) you are to be deducted a point. Well if you keep breaking the rules why wouldn't they keep taking points away. It's like well, they took a point away because I did (x) so now I'll just keep doing (x) and getting away with it because I know they won't take another point away. If you break a rule and are warned and then get a point taken away and STILL do it, you should have another point taken away or DQ'd. |
I would like to see Kongo off of the roster. I BTW think that the draw was BS. Kongo was not winning that fight. |
To me Cheick is not a top rung UFC fighter. I don't have a problem with the old u hit me in the balls I get you in the balls . Now the I am not doing so good in the fight so I going to try and neuter in the cage or pull your pants down to so you can't fight is BS . I think it’s time for him to be cut and try and work his way back |

What gets me is what was the point in taking a point? It seemed useless since he did it again and again after the point was deducted. Does that mean that if you are warned and have a point taken away for breaking a rule, you can do it all you want? Is there a double jeopardy rule in mma that i am unaware of? |
