Jose Aldo Says Mark Hominick Is Likely Next Jose Aldo Says Mark Hominick Is Likely Next - Bloody Elbow Quote:

Sweet fight and great opportunity for Mark. Tompkins will have to put together a stellar camp and game plan for Hominick in this one. I'll be cheering for my Canadian brother in this one |
I saw Hominick for the first time in his fight against Garcia. Was impressed with his technique, counter-punching and use of reach. I scored all 3 rounds for him, didn't know what the other judge was thinking scoring it for Leonard. |
Poor Hominick. I have been watching him fight since 2002-03...since he began, love watching his fights, always entertaining and always game to stand and strike, but I really don't think this is going to turn our well for Mark. I hope Jose moves up in weight soon, or take on an elite ground fighter who could try and take Jose to the ground. Well, it will be interesting to watch, but I think Also has the edge on speed and power and pure strength. I will be pulling for Hominick and hopefully the fight is officially announced soon. |

Also have no clue how the one judge scored it for Leonard |
Another victim? Another man for us to watch get dominated? Woo-hoo. I cannot wait to see Jose Aldo actually fighting a higher weight-class, because there's no featherweight who mirrors or even comes close to his level. |
Personally I never gave Faber a chance beating Aldo. Jose is like a Bones Jones type that just watching him you know you are watching something special in the making. This fight, should it happen, will be prob the toughest test for Aldo in the WEC (assuming it stays on the feet). Though I still have Aldo destroying Mark, it will be alot more entertaining than the Faber fight. Granted, Mark is on a tear as of late, the quality of opponents is nil compared to the teir aldo has dispatched. |
Hominick is a good choice. He's got great standup and great submissions, but I honestly think the most interesting choice would have been Josh Grispi. I know, he's got a fight scheduled, but he's got such a great fighter's instinct and I can't wait to see him in a title fight. I also think he's less predictable than the other opponents and thus, potentially, makes him more of a threat. I think when Aldo can see someone's game for what it is he simply solves them and makes them look ordinary. He's going to be tough to handle for most anyone. |
