He is well versed in MMA, and his strength and Cardio are off the charts. I think that was the only season where a TUF contestent (Bisping) could have already beaten the coach (tito) if they were to fight. All contestents Bisping faught went down like you'd expect if they do against a veteran. Or like GSP would say Ve-te-ran.

this is exactly what i'm talking about.....i hate tito, but theres no way i'm taking bisping over him, tito has proven he has what it takes to survive in the ufc, bisping has wooped up on a few tuff contestanst and has had one poor showing against a can, pardon me for not bowing down before his sparkling clean jock

I felt he was lucky on the show that he didn't have to fight the deaf guy....that guy basically beat someone with one arm for what I remember and is a world class wrestler.

and he outwrestled Forbes in the finale, and used the sprawl and bad standup to beat a 21 year old kid with 2 pro fights.
big fuckin deal. hammill isnt even a world class wrestler. he won the deaf olympics. the competition there is not as fierce as the D1 NCAA championships. and from what i know of wrestling, i would take a D1 All American over that accomplishment
and i'm not a wrestler, so that may be why his wrestling didnt awe me in the Petruzelli fight either. he has good technique, and HUGE strength. he ragdolled a former HW like nothing. but he has no explosion in his shot. i'll go ahead and say i think Rashad is a better wrestler then him
the only reason Hammill could give Bisping problems because Bisping himself admitted that his wrestling sucked. even Ross gave him problems with wrestling in their fight. but just like Ross, Hammill's sub game sucks, and he would tap Matt easily in the fight, just like in practice.

I have seen about 4 or 5 of his Cage Warriors and Cage Rage fights. From what I saw, he is incredibly talented. His skill set is very diverse. However, Audie is right when he makes the point that it is very hard to assess European fighters' overall talent due to the fact that the competition is kind of weak.
He is however a BJJ and a Kickboxing champion, so he has a great foundation for success.
We will get a pretty good indication after UFC 66 given the fact that the man they are putting him in the ring with isn't exactly a can. Eric is a good prospect in his own right, even though he is pretty one dimensional from what I know of him.
I am looking to see how Bisping controls the game on the feet and if he can prevent Schafer from taking him down.
I personally believe in Bisping and am excited to see if he is indeed what I think he is.

He's still experienced and effective, but compared to world class wrestling he is very sloppy.
