| Who should have won Shields or Kampman?
I'm curious to see people's opiouns on who should have gotten the win Shields or Kampman. I hear people saying how Shields out grappled Kampman but in my eyes the 2nd round could have gone to Martin.
While shields kept getting better positions Martin landed more strikes and had more sub attempts. So basically Shields won the 2nd round because he could get on top of kampman but land very very few shots, I don't even think you can call that arm triangle a sub attempt cause he didn't even really go for it.

Myself and the 4 people I was watching the fight with thought that Kampmann won, but I was pretty sure the judges were going to score it a split decision for Shields.

Shields won on the grappling part. He did no damage what so ever though. It just pains me to see somone win a fight without doing anything and without landing a power punch.

shields won the fight but its kampmans fault he lost. shiels was tired and out of it by the third round. kampman should of stood up and took it to him but he kept trying for subs and gettingn controlled on the ground

Kampmann was more entertaining (or at least, he definitely tried) but Shields won via way better octagon control.
And while one can argue that Kampmann did more damage, Shields definitely made more submission attempts so that evens things out.
Shields is still boring as Hell.

The judging is BROKEN. Kampmann won that fight.
"Hi, I'm Jake Shields. I almost got knocked out twice. I gassed completely. I couldn't do anything with my dominant position. My takedowns were sloppy. I couldn't even control my opponent properly while in dominate position. But ya know, I think it was a good W. I'm ready to fight for the title. Gotta keep this streak alive, baby!!!"

Shields is still boring as Hell. | Submission attempts? He didn't even attempt a rear naked choke when he had his back.
