Default Couture coming out of retirement???

This was posted on mmauniverse. Randy says that the rumoured fight between him is just that, but does say that it's not a reality right now. By saying right now, does that mean he might be considering it, or even considering an offer to fight in Pride???

This would be a very interesting matchup. I think age might be creeping up on the Natural, but we will see. His wrestling was still impressive at UFC 54, when he spanked Mike Van Arsdale, one of the best wrestlers in MMA. Could you imagine Randy taking knees from Silva's clinch?

Actually I couldn't. I think Silva (obviously) would try and keep it up, but Randy aint as small as Franlin. He'd be able to get of the clinch, either with a snake or a throw.

I didnt see anything in there to lead me to believe that randy is coming out of retirement, I think its too late for that matchup...a few years ago it would have been awesome though

Franklin never fought Wand, where does he fit in this conversation?

I dont know if a Wand/Couture match would be a good choice for Randy at this time. I am wondering how Couture's age will play into the fight. Then again if Randy either wins or just puts up a real good fight then it'd be something to gain on his record. He has slown down some but he still has a lot left in him.

in an interview with max mma or fcf radio or sherdog within the last month or 2 (sorry i don't know which one i listen to most of the podcasts out there)
Randy was asked about fighting again. He's said that its not out of the question. He did talk about still having 2 fights left on a contract with the UFC. If he was to come out of retierment they would get first dibs at him. And it would be their option to pass or not. He said he wouldn't burn anybridges with Zuffa since they have been so good to him. and he would honor the contract. He did say a fight with Silva would have been interesting but that it would not likely ever happen now.
