So we wouldn't be consulted about what type of articles we want in the general forum. Just because you find him talentless doesn't mean that know one else does and I don't see the reasoning. At least a decent explanation would have made me feel better about this, I don't it just kind of rubbed me the wrong way in a dictator-like way.

If the owner/other admin can post rankings I wouldn't wipe my ass with, I'm pretty comfortable relegating a talentless hack who--like many talentless hacks in journalism everywhere--rely on controversy to generate interest in his work, as the writing itself doesn't attract anything but flies.
