Cote hasn't looked good at all in his fights after surgery. He was never really shredded or anything, but he looked out of shape, tentative, and not very "predator" like. IMO, stomping out a few people in smaller orgs while getting back in shape can do him and his confidence wonders. Best of luck to Cote, hope to see him back in the UFC.

man i called this 1/2 way through the third that he would be getting cut. One of the few Canadian fighters I can't bring myself to cheer for

I would love to see him fight Scott Smith, Cung Le, and Robbie Lawlor. All three of these fights would be great, let's make them happen, come on Coker sign Cote and give us all some exciting fights to watch. Le vs Cote would be great, Cote won't be KO'd and he'd never stop fighting. Great fight.

I figured he'd get cut after that fight. Gonzaga just confirmed that he has been cut from the UFC too, but I can't create a new thread.

Cote, much like JMac or Loiseau is another mid-range Canadian fighter with a rocksolid fanbase, who'll be able to regroup, retool, get some wins on the independent circuit and make his way back up. He's still young, but his TDD is abysmal.
He's you're basic Fight Night Brawler but I think deserved one more shot, because he wasn't himself vs. Belcher, who's a big task for anybody and he's always gotten eaten up by wrestlers. Entertaining brawler, should land on his feet.
