What do you guys think? | Ofcourse he will if he keeps at it. The hw title will be tossed around like the lhw title. The talent pool is too deep now and a lot of these guys in top 5 can beat eachother on any given night.
Those of us whom aren't fickled fight fans understand there has to be a loser in the fight game. Noone can deny what Cain/Lesnar has accomplished.

I think Brock needs some serious stand up training, maybe a year of Muay Thai, learn to get hit, and Brock can regain the strap.

Nope.
Brock HATES getting hit, and he reacts extremely poorly to it. You can't teach not hating getting hit, and you can't not get hit with 4 oz gloves
Lesnar was a wrestler in College 10 years ago, and unlike wreslters in MMA today, he did not jump right into MMA training and get used to taking shots, he went on to other things like the WWE and football. While he kept up his athletic involvment obviously, but he wasn't fighting
Then he comes in, and dominates people with his wrestling, athleticism, agility and speed, and fights his first 5 fights against guys who aren't known for their striking (to put to mildly). Flash forward to fights 6 and 7 and we see a man who took more punches to the face in about 12 mins than he has in his entire life and he does NOT like it
With guys like Carwin, JDS, Cain and hopefully future UFC imports around, Lesnar will not be UFC HW champ again

He'll be champ again. He really needs to do what Koschek did and just forget about his wrestling for about a year and focus strictly on his standup. Get used to being punched so when he goes into survival mode he'll react correctly by engaging his opponent instead of trying to get away. That just takes experience so it's just a matter of continuing to train.
I can see the title being tossed around between Cain, JDS, Brock, and Carwin for the next couple of years. Unless of course the UFC brings in some other heavyweights than who knows, but as it stands right now I can definitely see Brock being in the mix for the HW title.

With guys like Carwin, JDS, Cain and hopefully future UFC imports around, Lesnar will not be UFC HW champ again | The fact that he hates getting hit should not be a basis for him never regaining the title. Only a foolish idiot enjoys getting punched in the face. Hell Tito Ortiz never liked getting hit but that didn't stop him from being one of the most dominant lhw champions in UFC history.
Instead of training to get punched in the face Lesnar needs to take the GSP approach and make fighters afraid to let their hands go and instead go for the TD. In no way shape or form does Brock need to become an elite striker overnight to recapture his title but instead he needs to make people fight his fight.
At that last PPV he simply had a bad game plan and guess what it happens. Hall of Famer Randy Couture had a crappy game plan against his last outting with Liddell but that hasn't stopped him from enjoying success because his strategies are normally rock solid.
Lensar was doing a good job against Cain but then lost focus and all that training he did went straight out the window. Now we get to play the wait game and lets see how many more fickled fight fans hop off Cain's sack if he gets tooled by JDS (whom has a much more solid striking game than Kongo).
Stay tuned...

Brock could be champion (and I am one of those long time Brock haters). He did get Cain down, and the first time it looked like he was in a position that he should have been able to keep Cain down, not sure what mistake he made that let Cain get up, looked like he rushed things and left openings. If someone with wrestling knowledge on the forum knows what Brock did wrong after the first takedown, I would curious to know.
Also, I read a couple places about Brock getting hit in the back of the head, looked quickly on the internet but looks like the sites I usually go have had the fight pulled. When Brock did that 720 move falling back from one side to the other of the ring, did he get clipped in the back of the head just prior to that (kind of like GSP Serra 1)?
I also agree that Brock a) needs to find a real camp b) needs to train purely stricking for 6 months or so, as mentioned, Muay Thai for awhile would be a great start. Imagine Brock doing a Wanderlai Silva plum...
