What I dont get is that they have cut Cote and gonzaga after UFC 121 but for some reason Gilbert Yvel has not been cut yet despite that he lost his last 3 fights, looks in horrible shape and he gets dominated in every fight.

My only assumption would be that UFC is honoring his Affliction fight contract

Three years ago, they were begging for HW guys like gabe to fill in the ranks. Now that they have 3 or 4 top guys, they think they can cut all the gatekeepers. Makes no sense. Unless Dana has a bunch of bad ass up-and-comers hiding somewhere, this is just dumb. Nobody wants to see a 4 way merry go round at HW. Gabe could give most of those guys a run for their money. Give him Kongo and cut the loser.

just his whole reaction to it. like he literally started trying to fight the ref and docs like 3min into his 5min break. not funny he got kicked in the nuts just his reaction to it. seen people puke before from a nut shot but never act like they're comming out of unconsciusness

gabe was cut for one simple reason.


his heart wasnt into it. look at the last fight. he offered nothing to very end. look how quickly he was in and going for a sub as the time ran out. im sorry, but if gabes heart was into it, he would of finished brendan in the first. that was his gimmie fight and he came out flat. that is why he was cut. gabe is a master on the gound......but if he isnt gonna put forth the effort............................................ ..........

i mean come on, sorry if anyone thinks this is fighter bashing but his last fight was shit. he is better than that. thats why he was cut. if he EVER puts the heart and effort into mma, he will be back in the ufc and near the top once again

i think the ufc made a new rule that if you get knocked out by junior dos santos your getting cut sooner rather then later haha.

werdum, gonzaga, i would assume yvel was cut after losing 3 in a row and getting knocked out by JON MADSEN!, and struve isnt far away from getting his walking papers either if he didnt catch morecraft hed be gone right now.
