Seriously dude, fucking fight Kos and get over it. The UFC isn't asking you to have sex with your teammate but to fight them in a competition...for a lot of money.

I don't know what his problem is; it's not like he and Kos would seriously hurt each other. They'd take turns laying on each other for 15 minutes, then Cecil Peoples would put down his gameboy and assign someone a 10-8 round to declare a winner; and everyone would call it a day.

Exactly, that fight would be boring as hell becuase neither man would be into it. There's only two options for Fitch.

He can A: fight his friend for a shitload of money but potentially lose a friend and fracture the strong mentality they have built at AKA
or B: not fight his friends make a little bit less but still a shitload of money and not create internal camp conflict.

Doesn't seem like a hard decision to me.

i hope they feed him to Chael to he can get a big old taste of his own medicine with a huge spoonfull off ass whoopin added in (cause obviously his medicine doesn't come with ass whoopin its like christmas presents and batteries they come seperatly). I think it's ridiculous that Fitch would compromise his chances of winning a UFC title (surely what all fighters aspire to be) just because he doesn't want to fight his friend, Kos. On one hand, his loyalty to, and respect for Kos is admirable, but on the other it's just plain stupid.

Sure, Fitch has a tough road ahead of him whichever weight-class he fights in, but to give up the chance of being named the best welterweight mixed martial artist in the world just because you don't want to fall out with your mate? Oh, and to then demote yourself to the middle of the middleweight ladder. That's just ridiculous.

To reiterate what Dana White has said a million times, mixed martial arts is a sport, and a business. It is a sport, so fighters do not fight because they hate each other, or want to seriously hurt each other. They fight to test their skills against other fighters that are considered at the top of the sport. Simple.

I see the changing of contracts in the future that include being required to fight teammates if a title shot.

It's kind of funny that even if his teammate wins the title he's not so sure if that teammate would be able to be more then a fluke champion who loses the title as soon as he earns the belt. It's almost like he concedes the fact that even if Koscheck somehow beats GSP he's going to lose the title right back to GSP anyways.
