If this means more fights than great! But I think it might mean less fights...or rather less FREE fights. Hopefully the UFC signs another TV deal to showcase more fight night events, maybe start there own "challenger" series. The UFC is becoming more of a PPV whore and it's not doing enough to promote MMA to the general public. They are almost like a cult promotion, only concerned with PPV dollars, using occasional "free" shows to set up PPV. What's the harm in having a weekly or bi weekly MMA showcase? It should pull decent ratings....

Apologies if anyone has already posted this (haven't read all replies), but the merger certainly means THQ will have to step up their game for the next UFC video game release even more!

I think Edgar/Henderson is a very exciting fight, it's a big question mark as to whether Henderson has what it takes to compete against the top guys in the UFC (also there is no guarantee either guy wins their next fight). But I think this will also mean less cards on VS, as the UFC is planning on only doing 4 cards for the entire year of 2011, compared to the 7 the WEC put on in 2010.
Also, as the article pointed out there will be a lot of fighters going to the UFC, and unless they greatly increase the number of cards they put on, a lot of guys are going to get cut. Just looking at the larger weight classes that came over from the WEC, I believe only Condit, Stann, and Cantwell are still in the UFC. I realize they are trying to keep only the best of the best in the UFC, but so many of the fights today are so close it doesn't seem fair to cut guys after an arbitrary loss from the judges scorecards.

I just hope the WEC ring girl - Brittney Palmer also comes over to the UFC. Replace Shondella's horse face.
