Everyone said Diego will take him down and dismantle him. Supposedly Riggs is this great striker. But he got beat at his own game. If Diego took him down and submitted him that would have been better for him than getting knocked out by a guy who is not a premier striker. You know what I mean?

You know what I mean? | Riggs will never be a great fighter but he is a good fighter. Diego didnt knock him out with a punch. It was more like Riggs losing his balance and being pushed with the punch. He was hit just as he unleashed one on Diego. Diego finished with a kick while Rigs helped him out by trying to headbutt Diego's knees. Riggs has better standup then Diego still and I still think Riggs has a good chance against Diego if they fought again. He is just on a bad roll. In the beginning of their fight, he doesnt seem like someone that will win fights. It is like there's a bad aura around him when he fights. Diego on the otherhand, is just full of confidence and that does a lot for a fighter.

I think Riggs has been given more than enough chances. This guy has all the promise in the world and hasn't lived up to half of it. Like I said in another thread, I don't know how the guy is still in UFC when they're letting go of guys like The Crow.

Every thread entitled "Is (or was) enter fighters name here really that good?" should be deleted the second it is created.

He loses, but to really good fighters. He deserves to stay.

Joe Riggs should be a top guy.The man has good wrestling ,is one of the strongest guys at WW,his submission game isn't bad ,and his stand up isn't horrible ,yet somehow he finds ways to lose. There's nothing worse ,than wasted talent.

Who knows maybe someday he'll get his shit together ,if not ,he's still a recognizable name and a good gatekeeper ,a good stepping stone so to speak.
