Saku, Penn, Newton, etc in HERO's LHW MMA tourney

FEG recently announced the participants for their upcoming K-1 HERO's MMA tournaments. There will be a "Light Heavyweight" and "Middleweight" tournament. The show will take place on August 5 at the Ariake Coliseum.

The following are the scheduled fighters participating in the tournaments:

Light Heavyweight:
-Kazushi Sakuraba
-B.J. Penn (rumored)
-Carlos Newton
-Melvin Manhoef
-Rodrigo Gracie
-Yoshihiro Akiyama
-Shungo Oyama
-Kestutis Smirnovas

Middleweight:
-Norifumi "Kid" Yamamoto
-Genki Sudo
-Caol Uno
-Ivan Menjivar
-Gesias Calvancanti
-Kultar Gill
-Rani Yahira

none of the Hero's events have been on PPV yet. They had K-1 Dynamite! on PPV but it was on a 4 month delay or some crap like that. I really hope K-1 starts putting their Hero's events on PPV.

Their LHW field looks amazing. MW too, but it's the same guys they always use for MW tourneys or matches in the company. They always shuffle those same guys around. But yeah the LHW field is unbelievable if they get all those guys for sure. I think all of them are too except B.J. Penn, who they noted negotiations haven't been finalized for yet.

at the last heros they had the first round of the mw tourny so i dont think some of those names are correct according to k1s official site and what ive heard

hers the mw tourny line up.

those are the names i know for sure
go to their site and look at the names they have for the show

i read the news on sherdog to but i cant find were feg officially announced it. it doest make sense for them to have mw tourny matches and then those fighters not continue in the tourny

lhw tourny looks amazing aswell.
