Latest Top Ten Rankings Question

Alright, I have a question. It seems odd to me that Mamed Khalidov is considered a top ten MW. I understand that the guy stopped Jorge Santiago and that is no small task but he got beaten soundly in a rematch. It seems to me that there are much more deserving fighters in the division. Hector Lombard, Robbie Lawler, and even maybe Leben. SO my question is, and I only as because I respect the opinions posted here, am I off base? Does this guy belong and I am just missing something?

agreed. lombard would smash him within the first.

An even better question would be why Santiago is ranked anywhere near the top 10. And what about Mousasi being ranked but King Mo and Feijao not.

Gentlemen, pay no attention to those rankings. They aren't the rankings you're looking for.

They were made by putting a list of names on the walls of a room and letting monkeys fling poo. Who ever got the most "hits" wins.

Hector could be top 5, but until he fights someone in the top 15-20, he isn't going to move up. 2006 against Gono and Mousassi...that's it.....Noke, Hess and Shlemenko since, but they are nowhere up there.

Pretty much. They are just random picks either made by one person and his opinions or voted on between a group of people, either way, it is all subjective.

:laughing4:Aha! The secret ranking process revealed

Only poo-flinging could result with Lesnar still ranked as the #2 HW in the world.

i think santiago is top ten, but thats just me.

Andrei Semenov, Jeremy Horn, Sean Salmon, Trevor Prangley, Yuki Sasaki, Logan Clark, Siyar Bahadurzada, Kazuhiro Nakamura, and the 4 against Misaki and Khalidov. Those are Santiago's wins since being KOed back-to-back by Leben and Alan Belcher. How is that the resume of a top 10 MW?

Who actually decides the rankings for this website?
