UFC 124: Josh Koscheck Says Georges St. Pierre Has 'Quit in Him' - Bloody Elbow

Quote:
"Well its kind of funny because if you look at the champion of the weight class… Georges St. Pierre has been such a boring fighter in a lot of his last fights. He's just been taking them down and laying on them, right? I'm not saying Jon Fitch does that but Fitch is a game-planner, he comes in with a great gameplan, he executes it and he wins fights. I think Fitch's fights are exciting and its not like he is fighting guys that aren't good. He is fighting tough guys. (Against Thiago Alves) he faced a really tough guy and he dominated him."

"I have a great gameplan and my thing is, I don’t think George has a good chin and I don’t think his hands are that good. So I want to keep this fight on the feet and knock his ass out."

"I believe he hasn't been hit since Matt Serra. That was a good crack. His chin hasn't been tested and I think Georges has quit in him. If you look at the first Matt Hughes fight where he arm barred him, he was tapping before it was even tight. If you look at when little Matt Serra was on top of him pounding him, he tapped out. So I believe that Georges has quit in him and you just have to take him to that point. Nobody has been able to do it since those two but I plan on doing it on December 11th."

Is Koscheck semi-retarded? I ask because of this....

Is the point for his argument Jon Fitch? Really Koscheck? Yeah your wins over Frank Trigg and Anthony Johnson clearly are better than beating the shit out of BJ Penn, Fitch, Alves, and Hughes. Oh and remember Kos, Paulo just KO'd your ass not to long ago Mr. Fragglerock.

Man this guy can come off as such an asshole when he wants to. Who the fuck is he kidding when he says that Fitch comes in with a better or more entertaining game plan? I know he's just trying to hype the fight, but the guy sounds like a real fucktard most of the time.

Don’t man to come off as fighter bashing or anything, dudes an awesome fighter and I actually find him extremely entertaining in the cage. But it’s just been insanely frustrating to listen to a full season of this guy get on with so much whiny bull shit. I just want this fight to happen already so we can stop hearing him for a while.

I honestly wish Josh the best of luck in December. I want this fight to be epic.

While I suppose an argument could be made that GSP's "hands aren't that good", they are still (IMO) better than Josh's (technique and variety), and GSP's over-all striking is miles ahead of Josh's.

I suspect that this is Josh still trying his little mind-games; his real plan (IMO) will be based is his belief in his wrestling.
I suspect that he's convinced himself that the take-downs GSP achieved in their first fight were more the result of their unexpectedness than GSP's talent/technique, and Josh will try to out-wrestle/gnp GSP this time.

IMO, GSP is still too versatile for him, and unless he catches GSP with a power bomb (entirely possible), GSP will win the decision.

Kos is being to loyal here. He needs to learn how to call a spade a spade. GSP has boring cautious game plans. As does Fitch. I know Fitch is his boy but he sounds like a moron justifying Fitch's style. They both are boring and Kos needs to man up and say it about Fitch.

That being said, this fight is going to be interesting. We all know GSP will be better prepared and will stick to his game plan what ever it may be. I hope Kos trained to fight off of his back because I have a feeling GSP's game plan isn't going to be any different than his past 3 or 4 fights....I think he is going to impose his will regardless of Kos's wrestling credentials. I think the only wild card here is Kos being able to utilize HIS wrestling but I don't see him sticking to that.

I really would like to see Kos get the win though. I just can't see it playing out that way though.

Uhh did Koscheck not watch tapes of his latest fight? How many strikes did he land on Daley total? 3 maybe 4?

Lol who did GSP dominate just before Hardy?

Koscheck...the fact that he passed high school and went to college is the ultimate sign that our education system in the U.S. is fucked.

Every word of this was said by BJ Penn before GSP/Penn II and look what happened. "GSP will quit" blah blah blah shut up and wait until the fight is over to start talking shit like that.

GSP is the best, and I'm going to enjoy him beating down Koscheck easily
