Actually a shame, I really like both of these fighters and feel that their fights they were given didnt give them a chance to really show alot of their real talent..

Thiago Silva while very good, seems to be a tad chinny and he has been dropped in alot of his fights... But the man is a savage and has a big heart

I couldn't believe that they weren't on the main card to begin with. They easily should have been on there before the Leben/Stann fight.

Man, this is one fight I've been amazingly excited to see. Hopefully both are healthy and good to go, because their styles should dictate a pretty thrilling and seriously articulate striking affair.

I'm taking Thiago Silva because we really haven't seen him at his most dangerous and killer best for over a year and I think the long layoff should have helped mend some of this wounds(HOPEFULLY). I'm forever a Vera mark, because he's got "all the tools", but I feel as if he's reached his peak. I think Thiago has more hunger and more to lose here. S

Really happy this fight is on the main card. Dynamite matchup Mr. Silva.

Interesting style matchup. Thiago Silva comes from the Wandy school of "I've got all the tools but I'm just going to try and knock your head off" MMA. Vera has the more well-rounded skillset, and actually uses it. I'm looking for Vera to use his reach, pepper Silva with leg kicks, and set up the harder stuff.

Why does everyone think Vera has a better skillset then Thiago? Thiago is the better striker with heavier hands. When he takes people down, they do not get back up. And he has a Blackbelt in BJJ and is nearly impossible to hold down. Plus he has a killer instinct that Vera has never shown at LHW.

Vera is going to get hurt and he is going to get hurt real bad. This fight will not be for the weak of heart because the KO Thiago is going to deliver to Vera will be on highlight reels for years to come.

And yes, I am huge Thiago Silva fan.
