Nice KO card by Strikeforce, but weak overall MMA card...as usual. | this sums it up nicely. strikeforce put together a card with name fighters who are still on there game, against fighters who are somewhat name fighters (scott smith mike kyle) but are name fighters for other reasons outside of great success in the cage. knockouts are fun to watch sure, but when fights are set up to be blow out brutal KOs by one guy.............they start to kinda lack imo. would of i liked more finishes last night on TUF? well yea we all like a good finish. do i want to see rampage jackson go up against seth petrazelli no i do not. thats almost a sure fire KO. and thats kinda how strikeforce was setting up there card. a top named fighter against a named fighter who isnt really top tier. you can argue the hendo vs babalu fight wasnt that case but the rest of the fights were. you can also argue the fact that with babalu's chin we all saw it coming. good card yes. it doesnt put them anywhere near the ufc.

Give me a break guys. Are we actually comparing a very weak UFN to one of Strikeforces biggest cards?
I mean good for the Force, they got some really entertaining results all in one night and that’s awesome for any MMA fan to watch. But to compare these to cards and try and justify the UFC now being in trouble is ridiculous. These kinds of finishes could happen on any given night with any given fighters in any org, it’s just the way the sport goes.
All in all we still have a ton of UFC cards on the horizon that are stacked for the next few months. I can't say the same for Strikforce

Are we really comparing Strikefarces End of the Year card to a TUF Finale? Really people? I called it last night that people would someone MISS THIS POINT and then come out and say how Strikefarce is so much better, blah blah blah. Bonnar was the biggest name on the TUF card last night. And there were some good fights on the TUF card last night. But I guess in some "fans" eyes, you need to have KO after KO for it to be a good card.

Strikeforce event was sick...Great fights, good judging and entertaining as hell.
UFC was alright, but a small card so no big deal if it wasn't the best of the year, still some good scraps.

The strikeforce card was exciting but i knew HEnderson, Lawler, and Daley were going to win by KO or dominate because their opponnents were weak for them. Matt Linland really?????
I just think competition is getting better and we're getting stalemates. Personally i'll take an exciting decison over a 30 second KO.

I'll take a ko 30 seconds into a fight instead of a boring LnP decision any day. Good night of fights for SF but most SF shows are pretty damn good.

I kinda feel like it could be from fighters being afraid to get fired for losing and playing it too safe.

It seems like most of their cards are really lacking fighters that go for the kill & TUF 12 VS Strikeforce was another prime example of that.
TUF 12:
11 Fights.
7 Unanimous Decisions,
1 Split Decision,
2 Submissions, &
1 Knockout.
Strikeforce - Hendo/Babalu:
13 Fights.
3 Knockouts,
4 Technical Knockouts,
2 Unanimous Decisions,
1 Split Decision,
1 Technical Unanimous Decision, &
2 Submissions.
Yeah I know some nights just Don't Deliver, but the UFC has had WAY too many of those happening lately.
Also aware that Strikeforce had 2 fights more than TUF, so lets just take away the Technical Unanimous Decision & the Split Decision from Strikeforce & they still have 7 people on their ass seeing stars(6 more than UFC), 2 Subs(equal with UFC), & only 2 UD(5 Less than UFC).
Strikeforce just whooped UFC's ass.
I know a lot of people are gonna say, "but UFC has a deeper pool of talent & more fighters are equal in abilities & it's hard to stop someone like that."
To me that excuse is wearing real thin lately.
NOT HATING on UFC at all(wanna make sure that's clear), but I'm just curious How Many Other People Here Are Starting To See UFC Not Deliver??? | Simply don't watch then.
