| Whats your favourite fight outcome?
As the title says, whats your favourite fight outcome?
KO? (by Punches?, Kicks?, Knees? or Slam?) TKO? Submission? Or a Decision?
And If your bored list your top 5 favourite fights that ended that way. It can be your favourite for whatever reason. The fighters envolved, the hype, the outcome whatever floats your boat
I went with KO via Punch(s). I love a good HK, a good TKO beatdown or a Flying Knee dont get me wrong, but theres just something about watching a mans fist slam into another mans face at full speed that makes me smile. Without further adue, here's my top 5 favourite Punch KO's Punch
5.Franklin Vs Quarry
4.Rampage Vs Silva 3
3.Pete Sell vs Scott Smith
2.Rashad Vs Chuck Liddel 1.Hendo Vs Bisping
HM:Fedor Vs AA, Chris Clements Vs Lautaro Lucas
All full speed punches that landed flush resulting in unconscious, gotta love it.
Because im SO bored Im gonna list all my top 5s for all the categories(just quickly), fell free to do this yourself but no pressure. Also feel free to comment, debate or just plain rip it. Kick(s)
5.Shogun Vs Rampage
4.Shogun Vs Cyrille Diabate
3.Rashad Evans Vs Sean Salmon
2.CC Vs Wandy 1.CC Vs Gonzaga
HM: Yves Edward vs Josh Thompson, Alan Belcher Vs Jorge Santiago Knee(s)
5.Thiago Alves Vs Matt Hughes
4.Anderson Silva Vs Rich Franklin 1
3.James Irvin Vs Terry Martin
2.KID Yamamoto vs Miyata 1.Wandy Vs Rampage 2
HM: Spencer Fisher Vs Matt Wiman, Jose Aldo Vs Cub Swanson TKO

4.Garry Goodrich Vs Paul Herrera
3.Matt Serra Vs GSP
2.Phil Baroni vs Dave Menne 1.Chuck Liddell Vs Tito Ortiz 1

5.CB Dollaway Vs Chuck Pablo
4.Josh Burkman Vs Sam Morgan
3.Matt Hughes Vs Carlos Newton
2.Tito Ortiz Vs Evan Tanner 1.Rampage vs Arona
HM: Gerald Harris vs Dave Branch, Frank Shamrock vs Igor Zinoviez Submission
5.Evan Dunham Vs Efrain Escudero- Armbar
4.Demian Maia Vs Cheal Sonnen- Triangle Choke
3.Dustin Hazlett Vs Josh Burkman- Armbar
2.CB Dollaway Vs Jesse Taylor- Peruvian Necktie 1.Toby Imada Vs Jorge Masvidal- Inverted Triangle Choke
HM: Fedor Vs Randleman, Gsp Vs Matt Hughes 3, Matt Hughes vs Frank Trigg 2 Decision
5.Shogun Vs Lil Nog
4.Fedor Vs Cro Cop
3.GSP Vs BJ Penn 1
2.Randy Couture Vs Big Nog 1.Chuck Liddell Vs Wandy
HM: Guida Vs Sanchez, Edgar Vs Griffin, Aldo Vs Faber
I didnt include fights ended in cuts or elbows. Winning by a cut is kinda cheap and fights ended by elbows are pretty rare but the best im sure is AS vs Tony Fryklund
Also, please dont nitpick over whats in what category. Some might say "Well Silva Vs Griffin was a KO by punch, not a TKO". Its all opinion, I really just wanted to know how people want to see a fight finished, and their fav fights that ended that way.
Whats your favourite way to see a fight finished?

One that doesn't end in controversy. That's all I care about.

Great list. But i'm dying to see another flying heelhook like Ryo Chonan did to Anderson Silva. I don't believe it's not in your list.
Ya...that's my pic for ending a fight. sniff...sniff...i'll never see a finish like that agian.

Hard fought light weight decisions are always cool. I remember in 2007 and early 2008 Tyson, Guida, Sherk, and Edgar were pretty much saving bad cards with these. Not to mention Melendez had some with Thompson and Ishida outside the UFC.
Also could watch Hughes and Trigg fight all day long.

Wow so many things my head is spinning, lol. I'll try to keep things in some what of an order. Memorable Finishes
I'm not gonna list them out top to bottom but just list them as they come to me....
It's most recent but just the atmosphere (watching both at Buffalo Wild Wings) was....
Brock Lesnar vs Shane Carwin
and
Brock Lesnar vs Cain Velasquez
I can't remember feeling more on edge for a fight in a very long time as I was watching those two fights. With Brock being such a polorizing figure, it only added to the atmosphere. Coming into the Carwin fight, people though Brock was a wrecking machine and he really hadn't ever been in deep trouble. But when Carwin rushed forward and started throwing bombs at Brock and had Brock about a 1/2 second from losing the title, the place was fucking deafening. And then for Brock to come back and sub Carwin in the 2nd, it was just crazy shit. Same can be said for Brock vs Cain. The Hispanic population came out in full force to back Cain and he didn't disappoint. I wouldn't call myself a Cain fan but to see him win the way he did and the way the crowd embraced him was pretty fucking magical.
Anderson Silva vs Chael Sonnen was also another fight that delivered big time but not in a way a lot of people could of ever imagined. No Anderson Silva fan, no Chael Sonnen fan could of predicted that fight, not in a million years. Chael put a spotlight on himself that is usually reserved for Basketball/Football/Baseball stars and single handedly promoted that card. But what he did in the octagon will forever be remembered. He dominated one of the top fighters in the history of the UFC for 24 1/2 minutes before getting caught by a triangle choke/armbar. Anderson showed so much heart and threw what would equate to a hail mary to win the game. The crowd I watched it with were stunned at the beginning, in disbelief through the middle, cheering for Chael towards the end and utterly shocked at the end. A rollercoaster of emotions that I don't think will be duplicated in a very long time.
Hmmm, what else....
- Fedor vs Cro Cop was fucking so epic it impregnated me.
- Watching Fedor get slammed so hard, people thought he could of been dead to submitting Kevin about a minute later.
- Rampage slamming Arona 6 feet under
- Hughes basically being asleep from Newton's triangle to only KO him with a slam.
- Trigg vs Hughes II was epic..period.
- Liddell vs Wandy lived up to the hype, hype that in all rights they shouldn't of been able to live up to.
- Tony Imada's inverted triangle was just crazy sick. Coupled with the fact that he was getting dominated up until that point makes it that much more special. It even made the Sportscenter Top 10.
- Fedor giving one single tap to bring to an end a run that will never be duplicated in MMA again. Big props to Werdum.
- Dos Santos announcing VIOLENTLY that he was in the UFC and here to stay against Werdum.
- Hendo's BRUTAL fucking KO over Bisping that still gives British people nightmares.
Man there are just so many. I'll continue this later. This is fun.

My personal favorite is seeing a triange choke slapped on out of nowhere. Also, you're missing a crucial one in the knee category. The KOTN from the TUF 12 finale

That dive was epic! | Mazagatti in my opinion isn't a bad ref, he just makes some calls that don't go over with the crowd or viewers at home...But his job is not to get liked by the fans, his job is to protect the fighters, hence him being ultra strict about guys getting punched to the back of the head. Sometimes even avoiding a warning and quickly taking away a point...But all in all, every ref could have a great night or a bad night...and very true, epic dive!
