Fedor on UFC: 'I would never say never' - Page 2

"I would never say never"....but I'm going to ask for things in contract negotiations that I know have no hope in hell of being agreed to. I will also have my management team constantly bashing them in articles and saying how I don't like their president. So while I never say never, I do everything physically possible to make sure it won't happen.

Ok maybe the general public considered Brock better then Fedor, I for one did not. However for about a year or so I have been it would only be a matter of time before Cain passed Fedor and yea that has happened. I think Fedor fans would be really hard pressed to find a reason to rank Fedor over an undefeated and pretty much untouched Cain.

Do you honestly believe that Cain has passed fedor?? In what sense?? You can't consider him to be better for having an undefeated record and definitely not his impressive win over a not-so-impressive fighter like Brock....Cain is one of the best right now and definitely has a lot of potential to be among the greatest but still has a lot to accomplish before we consider him to pass THE GOAT...you should know better...

Cain is 9-0. he has 4 wins over borderline top 10 guys(at the time). i don't know i hate rankings, and most of the time bias comes into play anyways. imo i just don't think cain has faced enough solid fighters to even step into fedor's path. i could be wrong though.

If we're talking about analyzing a fighter's entire career, then I would agree that Fedor is historically the best heavyweight of all time. But as far as being the current best heavyweight, no he doesn't fight enough to be considered the top heavyweight. Fighting once a year does not keep you on top.

All you Fedor fans need to realize rankings are not about overall career records but what have you done for me lately. You guys think that because 5 years ago Fedor beat a lot of Top 10 HWs that it still holds water today. Guess what, it doesn't. In the past year Fedor was tapped out in 69 seconds by a Top Ten HW, meanwhile Cain has T/KO'd two Top Ten HWs in the first round.

Is Fedor the greatest HW all time... yes.

Will Fedor go down as one of the best if not the best MMA fighter of all... yes.

Is Fedor the best HW right now... no.

It happens in all sports, just 5 years ago Shaq was considered the best center in the NBA. Now he is probably consider barely Top 10. While he is still a force to reckon with he is no way still the best center in the league. And this is slowly happening to Fedor. Still a force to be reckon with but eventually is just going to fall further down the rankings.
