Tim Sylvia is fighting this Saturday, December 11th

I just stumbled across this and thought I'd post it up here. Apparently Tim's fighting somebody named Vince Lucero(who BTW is 19-18-1 and is winless in 7) in Minnesota this weekend on the same card as Jens Pulver and Travis Wiuff.

I get that Sylvia's no longer a UFC HW champion and all, but SERIOUSLY Monte Cox??? This is the best they can do for him at this juncture? Tomato cans on a thirdrate card? No NYE in Japan let alone the Farce. I just don't understand the logic here aside from money, you'd think that a fighter of Tim's level would have gotten a little more publicity and this for all I know is the first I'm hearing of it. I can't think of the last time Josh Barnett or Andrei Arlovski got such a pointless fight with such little heralding. It's unfortunate and as always....what if he loses???

I did not know Jens was fighting again. I love watching him fight even through these rough times for him.

Jens again! Please stop. You lost 8 out of your last 9 fights. Time to hand the gloves up...

LOL, Tim's opponent has fought some big names, however he has lost to all of them. If Tim loses, I doubt he will be fighting Pedro in the UFC. Kinda a bad move on Tim's part in a way.

Not only did I not realize Tim was fighting, but apparently Tommy Speer is fighting on this card too. I guess he's getting tired of the farm life.

Fall from grace.

It's a bumpy hill on the way down.

Oh wait! I remember watching an interview like a week ago over at BJPENN.com with Jens and he said he never even knew this was happening and that his management was trying to get to the bottom of it because he never signed to fight. Jens said he wants to return to fighting but doesnt know when that will be. This is the newest flyer which has no mention of Jens Pulver.

If Tim comes into fights in shape and ready like he has looked his last 2 or so, he can still be one of the best in the world IMO.

I think Tim would be the perfect fight for a couple up and comming fighter's in strikefarce.

A perfect fight to get KO'd in. I doubt any of them would be able to, or know how to defend against his huge size and reach. I'm not a Tim Sylvia fan don't get me wrong but when he comes in shape and prepared he is a big threat at HW.
