It's not only his reach advantage but the way he gets to his opponents so quickly. And by throwing the straight punch any kind of hook or looping punch from his opponent really has no shot of connecting.

If St. Pierre hadn't learned after fighting in the pocket with Serra the first time he very well could have 2-3 more losses on his record.

early injuries are crazy and thats another part of MMA that makes it unpredictable (i hate betting on). What if Kos landed a right that broke GSPs orbital early in the first? (by the odds of MMA) would we have said we knew that was coming because that was his strategy.. to just throw a looping right? i think probably...

but GSPs jab you till youre facemeat strategy was pretty interesting.. he comes up with different gameplans for each fight so the only way to really prepare to fight him is to prepare against your self/own weaknesses...

I agree.

I loved watching for 5 rounds as GSP would dart in with hard jabs or combos and Koscheck was left swinging at thin air like a kitten swatting at string.

I hope Kos watches that fight again and sees how foolish and incapable he looked, especially considering that GSP did exactly what Koscheck challenged him to do, stand up with him.
