The light heavyweight title fight between champion Mauricio (Shogun) Rua and former champ (Suga) Rashad Evans is expected to take place at UFC 129 on Mar. 19 at The Prudential Centre in Newark, New Jersey, sources tell Showdown Joe Ferraro.
Also expected to be competing on the card are fellow 205-lbers Tito (The Huntington Beach Bad Boy) Ortiz and Antonio Rogerio Nogueira.
Rua won the light heavyweight championship with a KO of Lyoto Machida at UFC 113 in Montreal last May. That victory came after losing a decision to The Dragon at UFC 104 the previous year.
Evans has strung together two straight victories in The Octagon in 2010, winning decisions over Quinton (Rampage) Jackson at UFC 114 in May and Thiago Silva at UFC 108 in January.

Well at least we have a date set. that's nice. Would be good to set the Featherweight and Heavyweight title fights set in stone as well
btw, why does Tito get lil nog after losing to Hamill? how does that shit work?

Agreed with the FW and HW match dates, and I'm hoping one of them is gonna be in Toronto for my first live show!
February and March are filling up with some nice fight cards.
Looking to see a healthy in shape Shogun last through Rashad's aggressive wrestling attack for 3 rounds. Then come out fresh in the 4th and KO Evans in fantastic fashion
