I know that Durham County a Canadian show on The Movie Network was rebroadcast on ION TV

I know the creator of ION was also the former creator of PAXWAY or PAXTV....Christian tv....I used to do internet support for Paxway....so funny...Christian internet that had around 80 percent of the internet blocked.

Sucks....and if you look up ION on wikipedia there have been a slew of lawsuits against ION and they have claimed bankruptcy a couple times...as recent as a year and a half ago.

They do have an internet presents which is nice....but currently it just shows ads for shows....pretty useless for anyone outside the states...and even some people in the states...I am sure if they do have their fights on the internet that they will also block anyone outside the States.

Its kind of ironic that Dana claims he is doing all the fans a huge favor by getting this to "as many homes as possible" and half the people here (including myself) have never even heard of the channel he's putting it on.

If you look on your channel guide, I would assume that 98% of people have it...they just don't know it.

LOL wow. Very interesting choice to carry the fights since that is/was sort of a religious, preachy channel. Its great thou since it is a regular TV network, not cable/sat it will be accessible to pretty much everyone and we wont have to worry about slow streaming. Hope they can add some more programing and becoming the UFCs network outlet. Its no CBS deal like strikeforce, but its getting them there.

EDIT: actually i seem to recall a long time ago there were some fight card on ION. Not sure the promotion but I remember a womans bout in like Hawaii, in an open arena, and one of the girls broke her leg. So they are mma friendly despite being a pseudo christian network

I think it's more for the ongoing contract negotiations between Spike and the UFC. The contract is up really soon and I think Dana is showing he can go elsewhere.

I wasn't familiar with this channel, but it's on channel 50 on Uverse. I can't wait to see this card. I just wish the Baroni fight was unaired and that Brown v Nunes or Roberts v Soto was airing instead. Either way, I'm tuning in to see this.
