Maybe ask Jamie Varner, or Gabriel Gonzaga, or Fabricio Werdum, or Hermes Franca, or Marcus Aurelio.........should I go on?

Both these guys have a lot of talent and have fought a lot of top end fighters. The difference is, one guy has killer instinct, the other guy does not. That will be the deciding factor. Vera is going to go in there for the decision and points, Thiago is going to be going for the kill. And it should be a violent ending to the night for Vera.
Thiago via TKO in the 2nd.

Do or die for Vera. This is a really great match up. I'd like to see both of these guys fight Franklin too.

Heck, he is from my home town, I support Vera 100%. I just think he will be overwhelmed by the more aggressive Thiago Silva. | With Brandon he actually hasn't had the chance. He had a short bout with JJ and literally got smothered with his bout against Randy. I do agree with you however; that in terms of Raw it tips in Thiago's favor.

Oh... by the way, just want to say to everyone: HAVE FUN TOMORROW NIGHT AND A GOOD NIGHT TO FIGHTS!
Because we sure as hell won't be able to get into the fucking forums. Wish we could actually talk about PPV's as they air like we used to.

As much as I like Silva, and his impressive record of 14-2, what caliber of fighter has he actually beaten? An on-his-way-out-of-the-UFC Keith Jardine? Although Vera lost to Jardine, the fighters he has beaten are a little more impressive than the fighters Silva has beaten. Silva may, or may not be as good as what his record states. This fight will certainly help determine that.
I think this fight will be a very strong statement for either fighter. Vera can make himself start to seem relevant again, and Silva would get the, in my opinion, biggest win in his career to date. It should be a great fight, and I am looking forward to it.
For what it's worth, I think this match-up should be co-headlining the event, not the Leben/Stann fight. |
Ya has anyone else noticed that the co-main events haven't been as good as some of the other fights on cards recently? Like in 124 Alves vs. Howard should have been Co-Main. In this one I think it should've been this fight as co-main, it just seems like they're slipping a bit in that aspect.
