It still never ceases to amaze me Strikeforce tries to put events together so close to the date they are planned for.

Cool, I like Kharitonov vs Arlovsky more than Arlovksy vs Barnett.
Aaaah if only Kharitonov was the 2004 version and Arlovksy the 2008...
But anyway very good match.

Now what happened with Barnett?
Ok lets dream a little bit, Scott Coker wants to make Overeem vs Barnett as the 4th match of this tourney. That would be amazing but its too good to be true.

I am tired of Kogan´s comments "The deal is closer than ever", he has been saying that for nearly 2 months.

Not sure why Overeem would be in this tourney when he's the champ. Wouldn't the winner of the tourney fight Overeem? But there's 2 names they aren't mentioning for the 8 man tourney so who would be the other two? Maybe they are waiting on Barnetts hearing next month on his suspension.

The problem is that this tourney will end perhaps in summer of 2012 (knowing how SF works and how M1 always renegotiates for 10 months after every Fedor´s fight), so that means that Overeem wont fight in SF until then?

I think this should be like a Pride GP, if Overeem fights in this tourney it should not be neccesary to defend his belt. This tourney should have a belt of its own.

If this would of been announced by ANY other Org. out there I would be super psyched for it. But how many cards do Strikefarce run a year...big shows? 3? 4? If that many. So I would assume with 3 month training camps, it would take at least a year. I think Strikefarce could learn a thing or two from Bellator how to run a modern day tourney as they do a good job. I just don't know why they are only now announcing all this for something that's roughly a month out??? Have the fighters even been training? I mean this is just all bullshit to me the way Strikeforce runs things.

Strikeforce could really be a great ORG with different leadership. They have a decent roster but Coker knows absolutly nothing about running this organization. Hell I don't even think Dana wastes his time downgrading them anymore because they are run so poorly. Coker needs to bring someone in and show him how to run Strikeforce have them behind the scenes and make it look like he is the reason for the change. Something.

To announce fights for a event 6 weeks out is ridiculous.

Barnett is the victim of a crooked scandal framing him of steroid use. The guy can't catch a break. His hearing is February, poor, poor Josh. Fedor will fight him, but not Overeem? M-1 knows what the fans don't want and they deliver just that

i just skimmed the article cuz well i dont have time to read ever fedor might fight according to strikefarce article there is. i did see the words deal not done yet somewhere in there.

so is the confirmed or are we all just once again getting excited for nothing?
