I don't know why anyone would want to see Randy fight him on competetive terms TBH.
Mirko was easily pinned against the cage by Frank Mir... not to mention what happened next after two and a half rounds of sparring and having a nice little conversation on a live PPV. In fact, he had a conversation with Pat Barry as well...
It's painful enough to watch the embarrassment that Mirko Cro Cop, the legend, is suffering these days. Randy might be old but he would school Mirko right now and I would be surprised if Mirko landed a punch in that fight. He'd be too busy getting clinched, jerked around, pinned up against the cage and taken down while being punched. I don't know about that one...

If anything he should get the winner out of Griffin/Franklin or fight Thiago Silva.
Aside from beating Vera he really hasn't done jack $**t at lhw. Hell he barely beat Vera some would argue he infact loss to him.

I think the UFC has a history of giving some illogical title shots over the years. Things now tend to be far more logical and based on rankings and fighters first earning number-one contendership, but I'd never say it's out of the question for the UFC to give Couture one more title shot before he leaves.

Good article. Couture needs to wrap things up.
Honestly, N. Cage hasn't put out a non-stinker movie in ages. I don't know how he keeps finding work.

I dont like this fight for Randy. Lyoto has really good movement and definately does all he can to keep guys on the outside. Every time Tito came in on him to look to clinch or shoot he back away and pushed Tito away. With Randy always coming in and looking for the TD or clinch I also see him eating a leaping punch or knee and getting k.o'd. I really hope he can prove me wrong and I know he's not Tito but im just using it as an example of his elusivness that he's showed in many of his fight. Im not saying he wouldn't be able to get the clinch or the td but he's really going to have to work for it and he will be in danger of ketting hit with something big every time he goes in

I can kinda see Couture coming in and Machida countering with one of his knees to his ribs and dropping him. Machida lands that knee to the body like crazy.
Either way though, will be a technical fight.
