This is somewhat of an interesting match up. I'd actually rather see Sonnen vs the winner of Bisping and Rivera though.

Sonnen's political career may be over for a while with this scandal over his head. Karma's a bitch Chael.

As far as the fight goes If Chael comes in prepared for this fight he should win. Akiyama's has not looked to good as of late but I'm not going to count him out of this fight at all,he could definitely sub Sonnen.

With all of his issues going on outside of MMA, you have to wonder how much of Chael's head will be focused on fighting at the moment. I don't think any sane person could deal with all of that shit and still focus 110% on fighting the best fighters in the world.

...but Akiyama? Wtf. Akiyama just got his ass choked out by LEBEN. He is an excellent grappler as well but Chael will kick his ass. I'm happy just to see him fight anyone I guess. Winner of Bisping/Rivera would have been much better than Akiyama.

But then again, I strongly dislike Akiyama and wouldn't mind watching Chael maul him. But it doesn't do much for Chael though, however, maybe fighting under the radar is neccessary for him at the moment until his life is cleared up.

well, you cant have him fight for the title right after being convicted. he needs to shut his damn mouth and try to win fans over by performing in the octogan. he can perform, but his mouth over shadows his skills a lot of the time imo

That aint no shit...Criminal or not he's still a bad ass competitor. Dunno what to think at this point, but Chael is an excellent Mixed Martial Artist, dunno about legitimate Real Estate Agent tho
