That sucks, I hope the best for him. I think he should move back up to heavyweight, he did better there in my opinion. At light heavyweight he just seemed lost. Especially in the sharktank that is the UFC lhw division.

There were still WAAAAAAAY too many possible matchups available for Vera that the UFC could be able to cash in on before making this move.

This one makes even less sense than when they cut Jardine because when you really look at the quality of opposition and the depth of the division. Couture, Jones and Vera are an awfully better challenger list than somebody with nine-lives like Bonner and Kendall, yet they cut Brandon???

To me, I think this has more to do with Dana and Vera's personality clash and the ideal of Vera being a "bust" or "failed prospect", but this one kinda puzzles me because there are so many stand and bang matchups that have promise that weren't realized. I think Vera takes somebody like Hamill or Bonner most days of the week and endgame, this one pisses me off.

Gonna be a sweet pickup for the Farce....

Hang on now, UFC cutting people isnt labeling them as rejects or unworthy. It's basically a wake-up call for Fighters to realize they need to step their game up before they can stay in the Big Leagues. Werdum is not a reject by any means, he just needed to get back on his game.

I just didnt want any credit taken away from those who have been cut by the UFC but still are very good fighters and can compete. We dont need to talk DW, think we all know how that goes.

It's just business...We dont like it but it's how it is and how it will be

so they give keith jardine four chances, but not vera? sure he's lost his last three, but one of those was a very close fight with randy fuckin couture...a fight many (including myself) believe he edged out. then he lost to jon jones and thiago silva...consider the level of competition there. what the fuck was so special about keith jardine? hell, that's another fight i had vera winning! i kind of seen this coming, but it still sucks. back to the drawing board for vera...for the 100th time.

Vera just has not looked good at all in his last few fights. He looked just as soft at 205 in his last fight as he used to at HW. He also used to be such a good grappler, and now its 2 fights in a row he just gets completely dominated on the ground. I don't think he's really into the fight game like he used to be, or maybe he just was not as good as people thought. Either way, he hasn't been cutting it really in the UFC.
