Jose Aldo: ‘I believe that in March I’ll be ready to defend my belt’

"Thank God everything's going just fine. I'm doing all the treatment, I'm focused on my physiotherapy and I'm sure everything's going to be okay. I was supposed to do my first belt defense, but unfortunately I couldn't do it, but I believe that within a month I'll be 100%. I believe that in March I'll be ready to defend my belt for the first time, but I'm still only doing physiotherapy."
UFC Featherweight Champion Jose Aldo is anxious to make his Octagon debut as well as defend his title for the first time with the promotion. "Junior" was scheduled to put his strap on the line against Josh Grispi at UFC 125 before a neck injury derailed those plans. After the "Fluke's" unanimous decision loss to Dustin Poirier dropped him from title contention, who does that leave for the dominant Brazilian to face off against now? Time to play matchmaker, Maniacs. The floor is yours.

Probably would put him on the Toronto card since it'll be a bigger event they'll want a card with 3 main events.

If Hominick gets by Roop, I assume he'll be getting the shot?

Guida could be a wrecking ball at 145 I don't think he can beat Aldo but damn it would be fun to see him try. I just don't think guida will drop down after that huge win over Gomi something tells me he'll be at 155 for at least 2-3 fights before he thinks about moving down.

Hominick would make sense in Toronto, but i dunno if they wanna give home court advantage to the challenger, that's not usually something that happens with fights.
But come on Guida, lets make this happen. GUIDA GUIDA GUIDA

i would definitely like to see aldo fight in toronto, but who would be defend the title against? i really don't see a legit challenger right now. personally, if aldo is ready and does fight soon (possibly on the toronto card), i would like to see him make a test run at 155. i'm still drooling over a potential aldo/florian fight, but from i hear, blackhouse isn't interested in that because k-flo's not a former champion. but do you know who is and seemingly has nobody to fight? anthony pettis!
ALDO VS. SHOWTIME!!!!!!!!
