This fight has epic potential. I'm a fan of both fighters, but like Rampage alot more than Thiago so I guess i'm pulling for Rampage in this one. I dunno how it's going to end or what will happen, but all i can say is "Dont Blink"

They both are phenomenal strikers who both get careless at times and dont stay as crisp as they should be. Rampage's takedown defense is far superior to Brandon Vera, so dont expect Thiago to control this one like he did with Vera. Also Rampage is also a pretty big LHW, him and Rampage are about the same physique-wise.

I wish they would put this on an earlier card. Winner of Bader/Jones should fight winner of Rampage/Silva and same with the the loser. That makes the most sense ranking-wise if you are trying to determine contenders.

Whenever I'm thinking about potential fights that could be epic brawls, Rampage vs. T. Silva usually pops up - because let's face it, if these two plant feet and start throwing bombs somebody is getting knocked the fuck out in terrifying fashion.

Unfortunately, given both fighters are coming off a win and the potential to be the number one contender is on the line, I think both will fight a bit smarter than that.

I think Rampage will look to use takedowns and test Silva's BJJ, while Thiago will strike to clinch and use knees or try to trip so he can drop g'n'p. There's the potential for stalemating in a couple of areas of this fight, which sucks cause this has the potential to be a shootout for the ages.

If we look at their fights common opponents (Machida & Rashad) I think it's safe to say that Rampage performed much better against both of those guys. While they both have similar styles Rampage appears to be the more talented fighter. This fight should be awesome, so no matter who wins we'll have a dynamic #1 contender.
