I'm not really excited about this fight at all. It makes me wish that Vera had actually won, and they matched him with rampage, not Silva.

Styles make fights, and I think this is a gimme for Jackson. Vera would have at least tested him with better striking and great MT leg kicks.

are you saying Thiago Silva isnt as good of striker as Brandon Vera? please explain. I have Rampage winning easily so I'm not disagreeing with you there.

And when is the last time that Vera looked good enough to even suggest such a thing? Did you see something in his last few fights that I didn't?

Uh yea I saw Brandon Vera taking it to Randy Couture. Vera's standup has actually looked pretty good in his last couple of fights. Despite that though I doubt he could best Page

you are out of your fucking head if you think Vera was a better striker than Thiago Silva. I agree that Rampage will take Thiago on the striking game easily. Vera may look better with his striking, but no way is he a better more dangerous striker than Thiago. It will be a war and thats what I'm counting on.

Vera got the better of almost every exchange on the feet. Its why Thiago took Vera down time and time again.

And against Rampage, Vera would be the more dangerous striker due to his leg kicks which Rampage seems to be unable to block.

1 fight doesnt define your striking capability. Just because Vera outstruck him that fight doesnt mean he's a better striker. How do you know that wasnt Thiago's plan all along? Alot of fighters say they are gonna stand and trade and then change it up last minute.

Rampage has leg kicks of his own and he has been defending them better since the fight with Forrest if you havent noticed.

No but as Riv indicated styles make fights and Vera brings more arsenals to the stand up game than Thiago. Prime example, his use of leg kicks and knee strikes which you rarely see Thiago utilize.

Veras strength his his MT which happens to be Rampage's greatest weakness.

Vera just got cut. He's not been bringing anything for some time now. So, no strengths, really, and no arsenal to speak of.

Anyone speaking about his muay thai is discussing a Brandon Vera of years past and not the current fighter we see today.

1 fight might not always but when that one fight is between the two it kinda does. Even if his plan was to go for take downs it wouldn't of also included making the other guy look better than you in the standup.
