I think Rashad will be able to take him down; but not do a whole lot and Rua may be able to get back to his feet fairly quickly like Thiago - I think Rashad may dirtybox him against the cage Randy Couture style instead.

I think Cardio could come into question with Rashad would better equipped if this goes to the championship rounds: Shogun's cardio has been poor in the past (Forrest, Coleman).

On the other hand I do hope Rua knocks him out, which is a distinct possibility if the fight stays standing for a prolonged period.

I'm glad I'm not the only one that wants Shogun to KO Rashad. I really cant stand Rashad at all. His cocky attitude and some of the antics he did in the Forrest Griffin fight totally irked me. I'd also like to see a re-match between Rampage and Rashad at some point, I really believe Rampage's head wasnt back in it yet and he didnt have time to get back into fight mode from making "The A-team"

I'm not sure if Rashad will stand and trade with Shogun but I think Shogun has pretty good take down defense so it may pose some problems for Rashad even tho he is a stellar wrestler. I just want this fight card to hurry up and get here, the LHW belt hasnt been defended for awhile and I'm having withdrawals.

I completely agree. Ring Rust or not i dont see Shogun keeping Rashad off him. I am cheering for Shogun but i see Rashad pinning him up against the cage and dragging him down and defending any submission attempts.

Im the same, I would prefer Shogun winning, IF he stays healthy, no more long layoffs. But I really feel its Rashad's fight, and even in a rematch against Machida, it would be a much closer fight then the first one was.

I think Rashad learned his lesson trying to strike and got back to his strength with is wrestling and athleteticism.

Rashads chin is still suspect after the Machida fight, he went wobbly legged against both Thiago and page so i think there is no way in hell that he can survive five round with Shogun, im visualizing a tko similar to the Rua-Machida fight, as Evans tries to grapple he will be clipped

if shogun comes into the fight in the same shape he did in the mark coleman fight then rashad will finish this fight.

if shogun comes in at full health and cardio then i see this fight going the way of chael silva. rashad will take him down and control most of the fight but 25 minutes is a long time to go with a guy who has as many skills and ways to win a fight as shogun does does. i see shogun catching rashad in a sub somewhere mid to late rd 4

this^ I dont see Rashad taking Shogun's belt. Rampage had a better chance on his A-game, honestly than Rashad does.

Im hoping Shogun wins so we can finally see him fight Jon Jones down the road pending Jones keeps winning.
