|  Jake O'Brien/ UFC Fight Night - vs. Cro Cop?
Ok so we have all pretty much heard the rumors that if Cro Cop has signed with the UFC, his first fight will be against Jake O'Brien. Well I was checking the rumors page on MMAWeekly, and O'Brien is rumored to fight, but no opponent has been confirmed yet. Would the UFC start Cro Cop out on a fight night card? Really it actually makes sense. They did it with Anderson Silva and look what he's done since then. It would be a perfect chance to get exposure for him to the casual fan who doesn't want to shell out $40 for a pay per view card, and also a pretty, dare I say, easy fight for Cro Cop so that he can adjust to fighting in a cage opposed to a ring. What do you think?

It would be the best way to expose the gen US Market to the LHK of Death. People where all over Kongos jock strap because of his stand up, wait till they show a excellent striker. I really hope Cro Cop comes over.

I think it would be great. Like you said, the casual fan would get a free intoduction to Crocop.

That being said what if crocop's contract gives him a % of ppv revenue, I guess they could work something out.

i don't see them doing that with Cro Cop. he's a HUGE name in MMA, and though he's not all that huge in the states yet, he will be.
as for UFC showing any of his old footage, Pride won't let them show any footage i'm sure, but K-1 might. i dunno though. all they gotta do to make a highlight reel is to just let him fight. three fights in and he'll have a real nice one.

Sounds like a good idea. It worked well enough with Silva, I don't see why the same wouldn't be true for Crocop. Let's hope that's the case.

poor O'brien...if this is true, way to put an end to any momentum he was starting to build in the HW division with his two UFC victories. i see this going exactly like Leben/Silva. but it would be a thrill to see Cro Cop come to the UFC!!!
