I honestly didn't think Dunham would start off as a stand-still robot in that fight. I did pick him to win, but that's only because I didn't think he would start off as a stand-still robot in that fight. My hats off to Melvin, though, he did his job - he destroyed a stand-still robot, but you know what? I'm not impressed.

Edit: After typing that whole paragraph, I read it out loud with a French Canadian accent. True story.

What about Melvin didnt impress you? His takedown defense? His accuracy/speed/power of his shots? His footwork? You can hardly call dunham a standstill robot in that fight, he tried to take him down and work his gameplan. Melvin just didnt let him.

You newer posters really need to learn sarcasm, lol. Or atleast have a sense of humor. I was quoting GSP (post-fight interview Hughes/Gracie) "I'm not impressed", and did so sarcastly, and the 'stand-still robot' comment was a joke, obviously. Sh!t, man.

Joeodd did you really neg him for that? If so that's pretty pathetic.

Was a very impressive performance by Melvin but one swallow does not a summer make.

He's got to do it consistently, without the attitude.

Personally, War Machine & Browning have no1 to blame but themselves. They both need a big glass of grow the fuck up juice. Lots of people have shit to deal with, not all of them crack out the crazy pills and start fucking their own lives up though.

Good for Melvin, he beat an inferior Evan Dunham and lost a dancing with the stars to Stephens.....he won't be champ.

Since there's only ever been I think 3 UFC lightweight champs out of dozens if not hundreds of fighters, he's in good company.

Sorry, forgot Sherk. I think there have been 4 LW champs. Either way, several dozen if not one hundred plus divided by four ... Melvin's in pretty good company if he "won't be champ".

I wouldn't consider myself new, been here a while before i decided to make an account, but I honestly didnt make the connection in your post to GSP nor did i see your edit about the french accent. My bad. Internet sarcasm has always been difficult for me to make out.

Not that I really want Frankie or Gray to lose, I think he's got the hand speed and reflexes to hang with Frankie and Gray, though he'd probably get out wrestled by both...

I'm going to have to see him grapple in a few more bouts to know for sure, but since joining Jackson's it's seemed that he's mentally matured which will only pay dividends to his actual training and overall fighting skill.

Glad to see him win, I've always liked him an believed he has been one of the best Light-Weight Strikers in the world and he is really improving his all-round game and if he keeps this up he will be really pushing for the title soon.
