Default Online MMA Community #'s?
Mods: I implore you...this has to do with MMA, and I'd like to get the most opinions so please let it stay for a little bit.

I have been online using MMA forums for over 8 years now. I have learned that there is a lot of crossover from forum to forum and I am always surprised how small of a world MMA is.

I am just curious to get opinions and perspectives on this:

1) What do you think is the number of the MMA online community?
(My guess is that it is very small unique visitors (actual people))

2) How long have you been using online forums to discuss MMA?
(8 years for me)

3) Do you find a lot of the same people everywhere you go in the world of online MMA?
(I would guess around 30% of each forum is unique to the forum alone, perhaps even lower.)

Well I only use this forum and have so for almost 3 years now. I chexk out others every now and then but they seem amature and chaotic sometimes. For me this setup is easy to navigate plus Sakara keeps me busy with posts so I don't really need to go anywhere else.

Yeah I pretty much come here on the daily and have for the past 3 years or so...

I go to mmajunkie or mmaweekly sometimes just to check for new stories, and sherdog just to see if there might be an actual good thread, but its usually pretty ridiculous over there.

There are many folks here that do regularly visit other forums, I see the same usernames...

I am really curious what people think is the # of actual online MMA community is?

I am just going to guess that it is very low <50k. But I could be way off...

I was thinking worldwide @ 60k...so that makes sense.

This is the only forum that I've been a member of. I've been here since 2006. I couldnt speak to the number of MMA forum members but you can find out how many are here. Only other site I visit is Sherdog, and I never go in the forum, just read the articles and use their fight finder.
