For you guys complaining about the smack talk and the posturing, you have to remember this is a business more than its a sport. I agree that alot of the shit being said is not needed and can be really annoying. But I love the sport and if it means putting up with the WWE aspect of it, thats fine.
Case in point, Tito Ortiz and Ken Shamrock absolutely hated each with a passion.... so I thought. I will never forget after their last fight, after Ken got destroyed, he got up and walked up to Tito and apologized for all the smack talk and also said "its just business and we made alot of money together on this". I will never forget when he said that and it really put it in perspective why these guys says things they dont mean.... its all about the mighty dollar.

rh | Wow. I did go back and re-read your post after reading your heavy response and I'll say that I still get the same vibe from your post. Sure, you mention Jones and his youth, but finish with a mention of how Zuffa runs its business, which I did read as you inferring that they would spur such actions on, etc.
Not sure why you feel like my post was a personal attack. If you're willing to, try reading your post with and without the Zuffa bit at the end.

I think that Jones will have difficulty going all out against Rashad since he kinda looked up to him and he is pretty much the reason that Rashad left. Its doubtful that Jones will be able to have that killer instinct, that im sure Rashad will have. If he can get his head on strait and truly think of it as just business, then he should be fine, but I think guilt will play a factor in his game.
Im rooting for Jones, as I always will unless he fights Silva (in that case i will just cry since i dont want to see either loose). | I tend to agree. If jones goes all out, I think he can completely maul Evans, though I think he will have a hard time bringing himself to do so. I look for him to try and grapple to a sub. I can't see him raining his self described "GSP type elbows" down on Rashad from his guard.

Rashad needs to get his cardio in top shape in order to beat jones. Since jones has ability to punch kick elbow from anywhere he wants to the body specially, which tires the fighter alot faster. If Jones does not dictate the fight (if he will Rashad will be finished easily), than all it comes to cardio and how good Rashad's cardio is in later rounds, because he tends to get rocked in 3rd rnd lately. So Rashad needs to be 100% in shape in order to win.

am i missing something???? i dont it. i asked this in another thread and never got an answer
basicly it was we will never fight each other
rashad had title shot, jones says if rashad wins he will not challenge him
rashad gets hurt, jones take evans place
jones then says well ok ill fight him if i win
to me it was more of a, well i took his spot when he was hurt so i owe it to him to give him a title shot.
thats just the way it appeared to play out in front of me, and rashad got all upset cuz he said he wouldnt offer a shot if he won.
so, again, what am i missing?

so, again, what am i missing? | I see what you're saying, but I think what you're missing is that Rashad was led to believe that no Jackson teammate would ever agree to fight him. Title belt on the line or not. So, by Jones offering to fight him, Rashad felt as though the structure of his very world had crumbled. He didn't want to fight Jones, but now he probably feels as though he must or he'll look weak. So he has a new team and will likely fight him.
I really believe that Rashad should have dropped to 185 to test himself there. He could have let this situation pass and I doubt very many would have thought any less of him. After all, Jones was a teammate and could have remained one if Evans had simply moved to a weight class he had mentioned an interest in recently.
