he left a link that leads you to the rumors section, i think that's sufficient.
but i don't think this fight'll happen yet. dana's said right after GSP won the fight and a few times since that hughes is gonna get his rematch that show.

If that's the case, could Hughes v. GSP still take place then considering the lay-off required off Hughes medically after a knockout? I don't remember how long is required medically after a knockout, but if it's long enough, plus a tune-up fight for Hughes, it seems doubtful that the rematch would take place in April. More likely later in the year.
Also, it's rumored that there will be a UFC event in Ohio sometime this year. Complete speculation, but I imagine that would be a much more comfortable environment for Hughes to fight GSP than in Canada. Could be to his advantage to push the fight back to secure a home-court advantage, if you will.

There is a rumor that there will be an event in March in Columbus (I so hope it's true!). Last I heard was that Franklin was supposed to fight on that card, but haven't heard any other rumors about it.

I haven't heard anything about Hughes asling for a tune up fight but I know that if he does then Diego will get the next shot. So the ball is in Matt's court for the moment. I wouldn't be surprised to see him relax a little and take a nontitle fight before a rematch though.

Hughes' camp definitely asked for a tune-up fight. I can't remember where I read it but it wasn't just a forum post... Can't blame him. GSP has his number big time...

Yeah I agree that it will pretty much be up to what Hughes decides to do. In that same rumors section it says this....
UFC 68: MARCH 3, 2007 IN COLUMBUS, OHIO (Nationwide Arena)
-Tim Sylvia (#5 Heavyweight in the World)* vs. Brandon Vera [dependent on Vera's contract negotiations]
-Matt Hughes (#2 Welterweight)* vs. TBA
-Rich Franklin (#5 Middleweight)* vs. TBA
-Karo Parisyan (#5 Welterweight)* vs. TBA
-Mike Swick vs. TBA
-Assuerio Silva vs. TBA
United States PPV suggested retail price: $39.95
* Based on MMAWeekly Rankings
... So I mean its too soon to say for sure. I really do think Hughes should have a tune up fight first. It would be smarter on his part to come off a victory to go face GSP again.

It looks like it'll be a good card, I've never been to one of the major events, been to a couple of King of the Cage events, and some local stuff, so I can't wait to see a fight like Sylvia/Vera in person!!!
