I would not be surprised by an Okami upset at all. He's a great well rounded fighter, who has the tools to come out with a win. It's going to be hard, but he could do it. Have to see.

I agree. I remember reading a post in another thread (Can't remember who said it, sorry whoever you are) where someone said Okami is basically Chael Sonnen with better striking and sub defense. I think that nails it on the head pretty well. I hope this fight happens soon, be interesting to see how much, if at all, Silva has improved his TDD.

Okami had also been training with Sonnen so this may help out a lot, without that triangle we'd be talking about whether Sonnen should have kept the belt after the testosterone issue lol

As for me, I believe in Anderson Silva.

Okami for sure has earned his shot at Anderson Silva. He standup is okay but the longer he stands with Silva the quicker this fight ends. I know Silva doesnt do good against wrestlers but Okami gets his takedown usually out of the clinch. That is where Silva will put him in trouble. Okami doesnt have an explosive shot that will get Anderson Down. I think this will be an easy fight for Silva and he will clown him in what will turn out to be a boring fight and a Silva win.

Okami is no Chael Sonnen when it comes to takedowns; just look at their respective fights vs Marquardt. People always talk about how Silva was DQ'd against Okami, but they don't mention that Silva had Okami hurt bad right before the DQ. He's a good fighter, but I think he won't be able to deal with Silva's speed.

If this fight were to happen, I just might pick Okami....but probably not.

Okami really has always looked really good except for in the fight with Sonnen, which obviously Silva can't present the same problems as him.

His fight with Munoz was impressive. He controlled him the whole fight it seems. He was also able to take Anderson down in their first fight...

But Silva looked Damn good against Vitor, and we saw that he's never out of a fight against Sonnen. I'd prolly pick Silva by tko, but could see it going to a decision, which would seemingly be more beneficial to Okami, so who knows...

Watch it happen and Sonnen is in Okami's corner, and Okami loses by triangle in the 1st lol.........well the 5th again would be pretty epic also...
