guida wins this fight by fighting like its the first 30 seconds for 3 whole rounds.

I'll take Guida when it happens.

Pettis is pretty damn good obviously but Guida is going to set a relentless pace, Pettis isn't that big either and if he doesn't knock Guida out/rock, sub him early I really don't see how he wins...and I just think Guida has been in there with enough good fighters to where he's got the edge...

If Clay bounces around a bunch like he did with Gomi, I could see him losing. He's just gotta wait for the oppurtunity and go straight for the clinch/takedowns/hopefully some good ground n pound, though he may just LNP his way through this one.

I remember Guida vs Huerta and Sanchez. I also remember Pettis vs Roller and Henderson. Pettis is no slouch in the cardio department and is a much better striker.

I think Pettis stops Guida.

I love how at a glance the headline can be misconstrued as an analysis, when all it is, is an actual quote from Clay Guida.

Agreed. I don't know what he thought he was doing bobbing up and down, but you got to give him props because it did work. If he tries that in this fight though he is getting headkicked or kneed in the face.

pettis is great. but guida has a knack of making good fighters look ordinary. i can see guida grinding out a decision win. he may not get the takedown straight away but he will get it.

I see Guida taking this one. He's a really tough guy and sets an insane pace that I just don't think Pettis will be able to handle as the fight wears on. I can see Pettis taking the first round by lighting up Guida in the stand-up and stuffing his takedowns but I think Guidas cardio will be the deciding factor in the 2nd and 3rd. I think Guida will put Pettis on his back, wear him down and grind out a decision or a last round sub.
