| Will Antonio Rogerio Nogueira be cut with a loss to Phil Davis? MMALinker: UFC Quick Quote: Will Antonio Rogerio Nogueira be cut with a loss to Phil Davis?
by Jesse Holland on Mar 24, 2011 Quote: |
"The fights in UFC are difficult, the level is the highest and losses happen. It's important to face guys who are at the top. Fighting against the best is what matters. If the event is matching up great combatants then it means I’m well ranked. I don’t think about [being released]. I don’t know whether [the UFC] would cut me. When you go to a fight you have to focus just on the victory. You always should be positive. It’s true [Davis] has more to earn with the fight than me but Phil is an athlete in ascension. Boxing is the way to beat him for sure. He normally uses the jiu-jitsu well besides wrestling. The way for me can be on the feet."

He started his UFC career well and with an exclamation point, but grapplers are a big weakness for him, I hope Lil Nog can somehow get the win because I want to see him show of his hands a bit more, not grappled and controlled for 15 laborious minutes.

If lil nog gets beat it will only show that he will never be able to beat a collegiate wrestler (he got beat by Brilz) . So he will just be a middle of the road fighter. Wrestlers are the future of MMA. The future is here! Thanks to the one person who supported my wrestling team on this forum, it means a lot. No one here besides MALICE understands what college wrestling means to MMA. All of these straight to MMA fighters will soon be demolished by wrestlers. MMA is the NFL to college wrestlers. It upsets me that no one did shit about my post about UNO wrestling, which got cut. So the likes of Jake Ellenberger and Jason Brilz may no longer have a room to wrestle in. As a member who has been here from the time when there was just a few of us who actually understood MMA, thanks a lot, Assholes. Keep writing on forums and being lazy fucks who dont understand what it truly means to fight, to sweat, and to bleed for something that matters.

I was reading along and about 2 sentences in it went from the topic at hand to something else entirely. I don't think it's me who needs to go on but rather you. Speak brotha SPEAK!

I find it a bit presumptuous to suggest no one here at all understands you bar one person, boxers will always love the stand-up guys, black belts will always love the BJJ guys, wrestlers will always back the wrestlers (and suggest they won fights that they didn't officially win).
At the end of the day, I'm a Muay Thai guy, I love the standup and want to see Lil Nog display it more, so I'm backing him for a win. Does suck that Brilz and Ellenberger lost their wrestling program though.

Speak brotha SPEAK! | I wrestled for the University of Nebraska at Omaha who just won their 3rd straight national title in a row, and 6th in 8 years. My program was just cut yesterday morning. I posted something on this site 2 weeks ago, and only MALICE responded to me. Jake Ellenberger and Jason Brilz are apart of my UNO team. Both very respective UFC fighters. It just disappoints me that no one really had an interest at all, especially when college wrestlers are dominating the UFC world, when everyone OBVIOUSLY assumes that the ufc is MMA. I just figured that more people on this site would try to help out at least in the slightest by emailing the people I said to, if anyone did and did not talk to me i am sorry for talking out to them, but I believe this is a bigger situation. MMA needs college wrestling. I only posted this on this page because I didnt no what else to do, because no one responded to what I have already put up.
