| UFC Champ Dominick Cruz Explains History Behind Feud With Urijah Faber TheMMANews
Posted By: Charttopper Quote:
“In the beginning it had nothing to do with him at all. In the very beginning, it had to do with the fact that I wasn’t even on the event poster and I was fighting him for a world title. That really got under my skin….Originally, it had nothing to do him, I felt like I deserved to be on that poster….”
“Losing that fight a long time ago was a surreal moment – kind of like winning the UFC belt was a surreal moment. So, I’m just going to kind of take it day by day as I prepare for the fight. I couldn’t be more excited. I feel like every fighter wants the opportunity to fight someone they’ve lost to in the past, and this is like the best-case scenario for me.”

I love Faber as a fighter, but this match will be a 5 round domination at the hands of Dominick Cruz

Ya all I was thinking during the Wineland fight is that if Faber has this much trouble getting the fight to the ground against Eddie, he won't be able to do it against Cruz. Plus he wasn't able to do anything significant when he got it there. He was supposed to be a beast when he moved down, but like most fighters, he seems to be at about the same level.

I cant think of anybody else who has dropped weight classes, but from what Ive seen they normally work out pretty well.

idk about wand yet either because i thnk bisping is severely overrated his last two fights he won because he did something illegal and the guy didnt fully recover and he wasnt even facing top competition.

He dominated Joe Stevenson and Clay guida imo.

i'm really excited about this fight and the fact that its the same night as penn/fitch II only magnifies the anticipation!
i really do not want to see faber lose AGAIN, but i have to go with cruz via UD. imo, cruz has some of the best footwork in the game, period.

Nate Diaz went up in weight not down. I hate this whole fake thory of if a fighter does bad in a weight class they can drop down and have an advantage somehow. It's not always the best, your fatigued from weigh cut, not used to your own body, lose power and are fighting guys that are generally gonna be faster then your heavier classes.

This feud comes off more as a misunderstanding than anything else.
I think Cruz has become a very solid fighter and I believe he'll defeat Faber when they fight again. He just better keep it on the feet.
