I agree that Tito isn't in the top 5, but his fights against Vitor, Tanner, Silva, and Matyushenko (granted he lost a lot from cutting weight) should put him in the top 10.

i dont care how many years ago it was, tito beat wandy , thats all there is to it dont matter when it was he beat him how do you know it wouldnt happen today maybe his styles makes him able to beat wandy, wandy dont have take down defense like chuck so why not if he gets hit its over but you cant garentee anything in mma, styles make fights, some styles dont match up good together, ill say this because its a great example, Roy jones vs tarvor he had a hell of a time with him the first time lost the 2nd and 3rd, but roy is alot better boxer then tarvor, bj penn matt hughes,

He was champion when Dana White was his manager and he defended his title against guys ,like Elvis Sinocic ,he was never that good and Randy and Chuck proved that.

Exactly.

Wandy is a better striker but Tito GnP is better than Wandy's BJJ, in the Octagon that is.

As long as Tito uses the run ,like the win stradegy again ,he'll be fine.

*sarcasm*

Well, Tito actually held his own against both Randy and Chuck very well in the first round of each fight. They took over and gave him beatdowns after that, but the mere fact that it took a whole round for them to take over shows that he's a top ten competitor.

As for Wandy, like people have said before, Tito ran from him. Wandy back then was able to destroy Mike Van Arsdale, who many on here have stated would beat Tito. Today, I'd expect Wandy to manage to KO Tito before a decision, but if Tito got ahold of him, he could toss him around in a similar fashion. Actually, I could see a Wandy/Tito rematch going similar to Tito/Frank, except that Wandy would wait to catch Tito in the clench instead of punching him out like Frank did.

Wait a minute. He didn't really beat Vitor, Tanner is a natural 185, Silva had little to no MMA experience, and I'll give him Matyushenko. Tito has never beaten anyone great fighter in their prime. Tito was great when the talent was even slimmer then it is now, and before the sport was refined into what it has become. For a 32 year old fighter Tito is a dinosaur in MMA. His time has passed and after tomorrow his fighting days will be numbered. He is a great coach and should just move forward with that.

He didn't beat Vitor but the mere fact that he didn't get KTFO before it went to a decision is impressive. Tanner is a natural 185, but still, he fucking DRILLED Tanner. Silva whooped Van Arsdale in the first round before he even entered the UFC. Did you notice that he was the co-#1 contender alongside Tito? He was a top ten guy even when he was in the UFC, though he wasn't quite where he's at now. And hell, even the Frank Shamrock fight is fairly impressive for his strength and wrestling/G 'n P ability.

I agree that Tito's no longer championship material, BUT he's still at a good "gatekeeper" level. If you can beat Tito convincingly, you've proven that you ARE championship material in my book. Like Tito isn't in the top 5, but he's definitely in the top 10.

I guess you are right. I actually am one of the few that likes Tito's antics more then his fighting. I'd like him to stay active in the UFC (with his personality) in some compacity. I just don't think he can be in the top tier of fighters anymore, but if he wins tomorrow I'd accept it.
