Doing a quick google search, the manny fight in Dallas did 50000 and 40000. So this was the largest crowd for a fight.

I wonder if they could sell out the Cowboys stadium for 100K seats? With those ticket prices, they would be looking at about 22 million gate. Dallas/Arlington might be the new Vegas....

They probably meant it was the biggest sporting event by having the biggest ticket sales of all time. But even that I find hard to believe since Super Bowl tickets cost out the ass themselves.

Im more popular/bigger cities they can have huge turnouts every game. There is a reason athletes from the nfl, nba, and mlb get paid so much.

It is a marketing ploy and you cant blame them for trying, take it with a grain of salt. It was clearly the biggest event in ufc history in terms of crowd. Dont expect them to give credit to other sports, nor should they. Still I would have said in ufc history instead of NA history.

Definitely not the biggest "sporting" event in NA history. Cause cowboy stadium has sold over 100k seats, MMA wise i suppose it's the biggest.

Like combined most amount of people who purchased tickets and are attending combine them with the amount of people who purchased the PPV.
I don't think Manny fighting in boxing gets as many PPV buys as this event.
Probably the most watched pay event in North America ever....maybe the most watched pay event ever. (combining attendees and PPV buyers)
But this is a guess.
I think calling it the biggest sporting event in NA history is just wrong.
