I'm a little bit confused as to how this is the biggest event in North American history. they sold 55,000 tickets but Cowboys stadium has like 100,000 seats so what classifies it as the biggest event. anyone know?

i think it is the biggest event mma event in na history, thats how i took it anyway, wrestlemania takes in more then that faithfully

It's the biggest MMA event in North American history, not the biggest event in general.

I've only heard biggest mma event. I could see some ill informed second hand sources mis-quoting though.

As far as seating for an North American MMA event this was the largest capacity venue so far.
There has yet to be a capacity crowd for MMA at cowboy stadium which is why this one is the "biggest ever".
