| Yeah man lets wait until a fighter with amazing striking, amazing wrestling, amazing BJJ, amazing cardio, amazing power, amazing intelligence faces GSP. Problem is that when that fighter appears we will all be already dead.

Usually the people he fights are too deficient in certain areas and so he just exploits it to get the decision. Right now Nick and Rory are looking pretty beasty so we'll see what happens.
What we know for a fact is that he wants no part of Anderson Silva let alone the mw division (and I don't blame him). | Like BJ Penn? Or is his boxing not elite enough?
Don't fool yourself into thinking his afraid of Anderson. Respect is one thing, but knowing what you have to gain and lose is another. If the time comes when it's a right move, I'm confident he'll do it. I just don't see how the time is now.

Do people really think that guys like Condit pose any threat to GSP whatsoever??
That being said, I'm not all that interested in the superfight. Although, I'm sure someday when I'm an old fart I'll remember "the good old days" of MMA and reminisce about how incredible a fight would have been between these two. Realistically, it's just not a smart fight for either of them. | i disagree i feel like people are always saying that whoever his opponent is isnt even a challenge because of one of their weaknesses(shields stand up, hardy's wrestling, etc).

I think Silva would ko Cung mid way through the fight, not so sure about Fedor-Cain thats a tougher fight to call, maybe Cain but Fedor doesn't match up too bad against him. If Kongo could rock him, i'm sure Fedor would test his chin. I just hope we do see all of these proposed fights.

The Shields/GSP fight was as competitive as I thought it would be, but not in the way I thought it would be. GSP's strength is on the outside, and he is sticking too it. I thought he might try to hit Shields in the clinch, but he wanted nothing to do with the clinch. He used his slight reach advantage and his speed advantage to outpoint Shields, who was unable to get inside like he wanted to.
I still think GSP is a bad match up for Silva which would make up for the size difference a lot, but Silva would have to go into the fight as a heavy favorite. GSP would try to take Silva down, where he wanted nothing to do with the ground with Shields. I think GSP would have looked a lot better in the fight if he tried to take Shields down more, but he came into the fight convinced he would have complete supremacy striking and he didn't. He's a good striker, but he's no where near the really top strikers in MMA.
