Default *Spoilers* Dana White comments on Randy Couture and Jose Aldo

With Couture finally done, UFC boss has no regrets sending "The Natural" into the cage | MMAjunkie.com

Quote:
"You know what?" White asked MMAjunkie.com (UFC blog for UFC news, UFC rumors, fighter interviews and event previews/recaps | MMAjunkie.com). "Now you know. You've got to have that one last fight against a tough guy. It's always good to go out with a win, but it's rarely ever done.

"As incredible of a human being as Randy is, that's what he's done his whole career. You test yourself against other men, and then the one day you show up, and you go, 'OK. Now I get it.'"

White confused by Aldo's UFC 129 win but expects UFC 133 title fight with Mendes | MMAjunkie.com

Quote:
"Here's the weird thing about Aldo to me: He came out and looked like this was going to be a quick night (with) nasty leg kicks," White told MMAjunkie.com (UFC blog for UFC news, UFC rumors, fighter interviews and event previews/recaps | MMAjunkie.com). "Had he kept throwing those leg kicks, the fight might have been over in the second round.

"Then he just stopped; he slowed down. His pace – it was very weird. I thought he got hurt. I thought he hurt his leg or something happened or he was tired and gassed. I didn't know. It was very weird."

I agree with Dana's comments on Aldo. If Rogan hadn't mentioned Aldo's difficult weight-cut during the broadcast I would have been equally baffled by his change of pace after r1.

Agree with both points of DW's and thats rare. Ya Aldo was a let down with his performace, but to still beat top notch comp. that says a lot as he diffently wasn't 100%

yea he was coming off an injury. I remember hearing them say he couldn't do the pre fight conference or had to leave because he was feeling light headed. But with all those factors against him he still dropped Hominick with some power and made him look like an alien with that bulging head. So I give props to Aldo for still showing heart and taking it to Mark.
