Maybe Seagal did help, but I am not convinced and will never be that he an important reason of the last performances of Machida and Anderson. He may be an expert in Aikido and all that flashy stuff that works only in the Dojos against guys that do absolutely nothing to defend themselves but no way we can consider him a "Best kept secret".

Actually, I'm beginning to wonder if Seagal isn't some sort of on-going inside joke that Black House is playing. I'm not familiar with the culture, so I could be completely out in left field on this, but it's something I've considered.

If this is some elaborate attempt to make fun of the guy it's pretty cruel. Just a *feeling* I'm getting, maybe it's nothing.

Actually, if you remember, Van Dam was cornering Fedor a while back. Not necessarily cornering, him but following him around and such, and coming in the ring after fights.

Nobody is doing that. We all know Segal has a legitimate martial arts history. What we find laughable is all the trolls spouting this nonsense that he has just somehow revolutionized MMA with his "patented front kick". Giving him credit for that kick is like giving me credit for Sydney Crosby's goals after telling him shoot the puck at the net.
