Rockx, You are harsh on Forrest, I too think is is hyped and sloppy but I was actually very impressed with him tonight, it seemed like he actually realized he is a sloppy striker and trained relentlessly on it, he was very technically sound tonight, not overly aggressive, very patient, he picked his shots, thre the leg kicks effectively but was just outclassed by a more technical fighter.
That was IMO the best fight of the night.
Leben needs to dro pthe Big-Mac and the beer and actually train like he is about to enter a fight in which his oppoenent wants to inflict bodily harm upoin him.
He looked really bad tonight and MacDonald's standup looked equally bad, I assume he will train on it relentlessly for his next fight as his ground game is already great.

forrest was actually fighting the more technical fight with the hands. his boxing was looking a lot sharper then the last few times i've seen him
Jardine just had better Thai, and better power
and i wasn't pissed with Forrest because i think he understood that if he beat Jardine, he may have had a shot at the title, and that he would now have to work back up the ladder

Still sliped elbows in in some of his fights haha.

with his Thai skills, Jardine was scoring points and doing damage with the low kicks, but Forrest had more technical boxing, and was effectively using combinations. only problem was is that he didnt seem to have the KO power to put any kind of hurt on Keith.
Forrest really seemed to have sharpened up his boxing game, it looked much better then it did just recently against Bonnar, or against Tito. after the fight with Tito, he realized how close he was to the top, and started training harder and working on holes in his game

yeah i think thats why he was like that but still, he knew if he won he more then likely was going to get that title shot, and when he lost the way he did he knew like you said was going to have to work his way back up, he just needs to get a ground game now and work on it hard for people who have that ko power

forrest lookd very good tonite, he just got to anxious and didn't keep his chin tucked in and ate an upper cut from a much more powerful puncher. Up until then Jardine was getting worked.
