that is a great matchup, the winner should fight the guida pettis winner. ben has a lot more to offer than he showed against pettis... that being said miller may be too much for him.

As much as I dig me some Bendo, I can't help but see Miller winning this by UD. I hope I'm wrong.

And pray to god BJ doesnt drop back down,lol. | I agree with you completely . . . and don't forget about Melvin Guillard, who TKOd Siver. The upper echelon of the LW division is a murderer's row and the Bendo vs Jim Miller match-up was expected.
I continue to be impressive with Bendo's combination of stand-up and grappling, but I feel the same way about Gentleman Jim Miller, too. I think Miller has more power in his hands. The real treat will be the submission game as both these guys impress the hell out of me. I'm not qualified to pass judgement on who's better on the ground but I think Miller's boxing could make the difference.

I like the match-up but I guess this throws out that old rumor of Miller to Strikeforce to face Melendez for the SF Lightweight title.

Makes tons more sense. | Yes, only problem is that his 2 losses are to the 2 that have been fighting it out for the title. We all agree that he deserves a shot, a long time coming. But it is hard to argue that he deserves a shot more than the guys that beat him. Not knocking him, but it is the top level were talking about. He has deserved a title shot and rematches with them, but it is good he isnt sitting out waiting for a shot. He can build his career, improve his game and get some pay days before then. If he does lose, then he doesnt deserve a shot.

Yeah, this is definitely a good #1 contender fight for Miller because Benson has excellent wrestling and pushes a quick pace, which is possibly a good portion of what Miller would encounter in a title fight with Gray or Frankie. Plus Bendo has very good cardio and an intense 3 round fight should help him get ready for his first 5 rounder.
I gotta take Miller in this fight though. He seems to be a bit more polished technically, and Ben likes to get aggressive and honestly when he's not just being a aggressive he doesn't do the best job at being unpredictable. Miller is also pretty hard to take down and has pretty good cardio so its going to be tough for Ben to pull this one out imo. I gotta take Miller by tko or decision
