I would like to say Bendo gets merrrrrked..But I dont think I can say this, Im a HUGE Miller supporter and I dont wanna use MMA math but Bendo seemed to handle Bocek alot more convincingly... this may come down to a very contreversial decision

I see what your saying, he should be in there based on the fact that his 2 losses were to these guys and he wasn't dominated at all. I don't believe it will take that long.
He beats Bendo and depending on injuries, he's right beihind Pettis if he beats Guida. Say Guida beats Pettis and Miller beats Bendo. Miller and Guida for #1 contender.

No matter what anyone wants to argue about the "right" of Pettis for the shot, which is ridiculous btw but it won't matter when Guida wins, Miller has wrecked everyone, and the man will fight anyone at anytime. It always seems like the lightweight division takes the longest for people to get title shots. Kind of like Maynard took a shit ton of fights before his shot. Miller should either wait for the winner of the title fight, or get an interim title, depending on if everything goes smoothly with Maynard and Edgar recovering.

The LW title picture is getting really clogged up NEAR the top. You have the following guys...
- Jim Miller (7-0 last 7 fights)
- Melvin Guillard (4-0 last 4 fights)
- Clay Guida (3-0 last 3 fights, all finishes, former WEC LW Champ)
- Anthony Pettis (4-0 last 4 fights, WEC LW Champ)
- Dennis Siver (6-1 last 7 fights)
- George Sots (7-1 last 8 fights)
- Ben Henderson (6-1 last 7 fights, former WEC LW Champ)
- Matt Wiman (3-0 last 3 fights)
- Shane Roller (8-2 under the Zuffa banner)
Man there is a lot going on near the top.

This could end up being fight of the year. These guys push non stop action and are always trying for the finish.

Man there is a lot going on near the top. | I wouldn't be surprised if DW sent some of those guys over to SF. Gilby needs some damn competition over there.

Great matchup. This should be the #1 contender instead of Pettis/Guida. But now that Maynard and Edgar are both hurt, there's enough time for the winners to fight before the 3rd match happens.
And it's such a logjam at the top of the division, because Edgar and Maynard are only fighting each other. By the end of the year, it might only be these two who have fought for the LW title throughout the entire year, and the first fight was on Jan 1 (esp if someone gets hurt while winning the title).
Maynard vs somebody for an interm title would've been sweet, if he wasn't somehow coincidentally injured at the exact same time as Edgar.
I agree with whoever it was that said let some of these guys go over to Strikeforce to challenge for a belt. Because there's really not very much depth to Strikeforce's LW division (or anything but their HW division really).
Can anybody say 5 round non-title fight? It'd be alot cooler if they did

I would give Miller a slight wrestling advantage and as someone said earlier in the thread, Ben will need to have his TDD at the best he's ever had it. Cardio I would give the edge to Ben but it only being three rounds as opposed to five, Jim ought to be able to keep up. I love watching both guys but will be rooting for Ben. Quote:

I would (with the UTMOST respect) ask the same of Jim. As far as sheer volume of wins of course Jim seems better than Ben. But imho beating Wiman, Tibeau, and Bocek whom I consider Jim's most impressive conquests, does not make you cream of the UFC crop nor THAT much better than Ben. Those guys are NOT top fiver's even though Wiman is currently working on making a case for that moniker. I'm just curious who you think Jim has beat to make him so elite. Again no disrespect to anyone on Miller's wagon or to Jim himself.
